Learning spaces
We use a range of different spaces and resources to engage students in their learning, including learning pods, soundproof breakout spaces, write-on desks, flexible seating options and learning devices such as laptops.
Specialised Areas
School Library
Our library is a favourite for all students who use it for reading, games, craft activities. Every class visits at least weekly to borrow books and develop their love of reading.
Out of Hours Care
Ambrose Early Years Learning and School Aged Care provides before and after school care for students in Years K-6 in a well resourced space located on the school grounds.
Music Room
Our specialist music teacher works with students in this dedicated space to develop a love of music. Years 3 and 4 students take part in our strings program, while other students can use keyboards, guitars, recorders and percussion instruments.
Sensory Garden
Students of all ages can use this hands on play area which includes a trampoline, climbing wall, xylophone, seesaw, water play, sandpit, swing and chalkboard.
Outdoor Areas
Students at Our Lady of the Way also enjoy making the most of the school's outdoor areas. These include sports fields and courts, shaded areas, grassed areas and playgrounds.
Sports Zone
Supporting active play and sports, this expansive area provides access to a large basketball court and a grassed oval.
Playground
Our main playground area includes a large AstroTurf area for sports and ball games, seating for quiet play and socialising, and handball courts.
Kindergarten Play Area
Our youngest students feel safe and secure as they explore the equipment in their dedicated play space, making new friends and developing important physical and social skills.
Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA)
Our spacious COLA provides students with protection from the weather during outdoor lessons or playtime. It is also used for our weekly assembly and other social events.
